Some Guy Is Trying To Sell The Chad Reed Opening Ceremony 2 Stroke On eBay

If you were not aware, in a very cool tribute last weekend, Chad Reed rode a KX250 2 stroke out in honor of “retro weekend” at Atlanta 2 Supercross. What you might not have known, is that the bike was not owned by Reed, but one lucky fan who got his bike completely rebuilt just for the 2 minute long show. Reed offered to buy the said bike, but the owner refused the offer. How cool, right? Well the owner (who will remain unnamed to prevent pitchfork syndrome) decided to list the bike only a few days after the show, at an astonishing $8,000 on eBay.

Here is the story from Reed himself: (updated with FB post, Insta post has since been deleted)

You can view the eBay Listing here. What are your thoughts on the matter? Is he in the wrong, and should he have sold it to Reed? Or who cares, and let the man sell it for whatever reason he wants. Let’s hear it!

  1. I think you should post both sides of the story. The one is not always accurate….. Check out the owner of the bikes Facebook.

  2. Chad Reed is known for burning people in business deals. I am one of those victims. He uses his management company, Wasserman, to beat-up people who have offered him lucrative deals. Once they’ve beaten you down to some free “memorabilia,” they use their proverbial megaphone to whine about how they were deceived.

Chad Reed is a pile of poop.

  3. You need to get the full story before you make a post like this, he is donating a percentage of the money to st Jude’s hospital.. Reed got pissed when he got wind and didn’t know the full story. Hell who wouldn’t sell the bike if it was yours? I would. But in all honesty the owner had already put an A-kit suspension on the bitch and those hookers aren’t cheap. Either way I don’t think anybody should care what he wants to do with it because it’s not yours. Unless you buy it off e-bay for 85 racks!! Haha got to respect the hustle

  5. You have to read it from the guy who’s selling its perspective. The guy is actually doing a good thing. He’s going to donate the money to a children’s hospital or something like that.
