GALFER USA ROCKS AT A RETRO ATLANTA

OXNARD, CA. (March 2, 2015) – Galfer USA and the many teams they support, enjoyed another great weekend as Monster Energy Supercross went RETRO for the second stop in Atlanta.  Both “Trader Yamaha Teams” (AutoTrader.com Toyota JGRMX Yamaha and CylceTrader.com Rock River Yamaha) had awesome retro-themed bikes but it was Weston Peick that stole the show. Weston shot out to an early lead, executed an amazing pass on Chad Reed, and battled with Dungey early on in the 450 Main.  Peick was looking at another top 5 finish until, late in the race, he and Jason Anderson came together pushing him back to 10th.  Anderson finished just in front with a 9th.  Other notables included Andrew Short who rocketed in his heat race and Phil Nicoletti who won his semi.  In the 250-class, there was a great battle up front but unfortunately, Martin Davalos ran into some issues early on and had to work his way back up to 6th salvaging a 5th in the east coast championship.

Here are the results from the second Atlanta race.  (Galfer USA athletes indicated in BOLD)

Arenacross stopped in Kansas City, MO this weekend and after a 3rd place in Moto1, it was Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Babbitt”s rider Matt Goerke who stood on the top step of the podium for the overall.  Jacob Hayes and Chris Blose faired okay but struggled in Moto2 to just crack the top 10.  Hayes still leads the championship hunt but Goerke is only one point behind.  One thing is for sure, the Galfer USA supported Babbitt’s Kawasaki Team is sitting pretty for a shot at this Arenacross Championship.
